More InformationThe health resort of Todtmoos is located in the southern Black Forest at an altitude of 800–1200 meters above sea level. On this page, you will find information on the best ways to reach us by car, bus, train, or plane. You can also use the Baden-Württemberg electronic timetable information system to find the most convenient connection for you.
Our house is beautifully situated in the Strick district of Todtmoos. If you are driving from Freiburg via the Hochkopf pass, you will pass directly through this district on your way to Todtmoos. If you are coming from another direction, simply follow the signs towards Todtnau/Freiburg.

By car
Via the Karlsruhe – Basel motorway (A5)
Take the Freiburg Mitte exit and initially head towards Titisee, continuing straight through Freiburg. Simply follow the signs for B31/Kirchzarten. Turn off the B31 at the appropriate signpost towards Kirchzarten/Todtnau. In Todtnau, turn right towards Basel/Todtmoos, and after approximately 4 km, turn left towards Todtmoos. After crossing the pass, you will first pass through the Todtmoos-Weg district, then you will reach your destination, the Todtmoos-Strik district. Our house is located directly on the road to Todtmoos.
Via the Stuttgart – Singen motorway (A81)
Take the Donaueschingen – Freiburg exit and initially head towards Freiburg and Titisee-Neustadt, then turn right towards Basel – Todtnau. In Bärental, keep left towards Schluchsee – Waldshut (B 500). At the beginning of Schluchsee, turn right towards Menzenschwand, then continue to Bernau. Turn left through the village to Todtmoos. From here, keep following signs for Freiburg and you will reach the district of Todtmoos-Strick. Our house is clearly visible from the road to Freiburg.

By train
The destination station for arrival by Deutsche Bahn (German Rail) is Seebrugg. Train connections to Seebrugg include several daily services from Freiburg (Breisgau) main station, as well as daily InterRegio holiday services IR 2217 and IR 2216 (Norddeich – Emden – Münster – Düsseldorf – Heidelberg – Seebrugg and back).
From Seebrugg, you can reach Todtmoos by SBG bus. Further information on Deutsche Bahn timetables can be found directly on the Deutsche Bahn website and for Swiss Rail (SBB).
